New Checklist Template options available in ACCEDE.

A recent ACCEDE enhancement has added two new check-boxes to the detail line on the checklist template – Inactive and Optional …

Mark a line as Optional if it is not mandatory for this detail line to have an outcome recorded against it. Optional lines with no outcome will appear with a green indicator in the Checklist Summary Status report.

Mark a line as Inactive if you do not wish this line to be created on new checklists based on this checklist template. Note, you cannot delete a line if it has been used on an existing checklist, so simply mark as Inactive instead.

Thanks to a great suggestion from an ACCEDE Checklisting user, we have recently released an ACCEDE enhancement adding a new Checklist Status Summary report to the list of available Checklisting reports –

The new report provides management with an at-a-glance summary of the status of your projects checklists.

Consider this example…

The green indicators on apartment 0901 and 0902 tell us that checklists exist for these apartments and have been fully completed. That is, all line items on the checklists have an outcome recorded – not necessarily all Pass, but all complete.

The yellow indicator tells us a checklist exists, but is not complete, for that apartment.

The red indicators mean that a checklist has yet to be created for that apartment.

With this ACCEDE enhancement, both the Users (Admin/Users) and Address Book (Setup/Address Book) screens now have a Print button in the footer allowing you to create a PDF representation of the complete list of records.

Also note the new Type field. You can use this field to group your Address Book entries, say into Subcontractors, Consultants or Staff.

The Users report is similar with the additional option of allowing you to select all users, or just those allocated to the current project.

Many ACCEDE projects take advantage of the ability to allow responsible parties (subcontractors) to log on and then mark their items as Rectified.

The subcontractor has always had the ability to view existing images by clicking the Image button. Now, thanks to this ACCEDE enhancement, the subcontractor may add new images by clicking the Add Image button …

Note, only the subcontractor will be able to delete images they have added, but no other images.

There are two lists of “people” in ACCEDE – Users of the system (Admin/Users) and the Address Book (typically subcontractors – Setup/Address Book).  Sometimes there may be an overlap in these two lists, for example a subcontractor may also be a user of the system – so he can log in and mark items ‘Rectified’.

With this ACCEDE  enhancement it is now possible to create a new user from an Address Book entry in one easy step.  Just click the new Create User button at the footer of the Address Book screen…

…and then complete this form …

ACCEDE fills in most of the user fields for you with values from the address book entry.  It even suggests a unique User Name for you.  Naturally, you may change any of these values.  You can also allocate permissions, buildings (for example), other address book entries and checklist templates from this form.

The new user will automatically be allocated to the current project.
